Gift Giving on a Tiny Budget

I have a love affair with glass containers.
They remind me of my grandmother.

I stock up on these containers every time I am at Goodwill.
There are so many things you can do with them.

So, why are we looking at a bunch of empty glass containers?
I am on a mission.
I love giving little gifts to cheer someone up.
Usually I make a bracelet or some sort of jewelry and awkwardly hand it over.
No presentation, no warm and loving speech about how I was thinking of you blah, blah, blah.
My goal is to do a little better than that in the future without breaking the budget.
What I am trying to say is...
It's gotta be cheap.
It's gotta be cute.
It's gotta be fun.

Today, is my first attempt.
The theme is...PoPcOrN!
My mom and I went wandering last week and went to Valley Popcorn.
We had a blast.
I learned a lot about popcorn and I loaded up.
:-)

With my fresh supply of popcorn treats, I am putting a gift together for my friend, Tina.
Tina needs a little cheering up and she LOVES popcorn.

I love the look of these popcorn containers.

I am using two colors of popcorn for fun.

Now for a cute little gift tag.
I am cutting up this popcorn box that I had leftover from a previous party.
I will eventually get 4 tags out of this box if I need them.

Viola!

Total Cost?
Container - $2.00 at Goodwill
Popcorn - $2.00 for 2 Cups {1 Cup of Each Color}
Tag -Free
Nacho Flavoring - $2.75
Ribbon & Treat Bags - Free {I used leftovers}
$6.75

  1. Omg! That is a superb awesome idea. I have different empty glass jars but I do not like to throw them away, I know there is something to make use of them and thankfully I found your post. I will do this too. Thanks!
